Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a quotation and an invoice?
A quotation is an estimate of cost sent before work begins, often with a validity period after which prices may change. An invoice is a request for payment sent after work is delivered. This tool labels totals as 'Estimated total' to reflect that distinction.
What does 'Valid until' do?
It's an optional date you can add to tell the client how long the quoted prices are guaranteed for. Leave it blank if your quote doesn't need an expiry.
Is the PDF generated on a server?
No. The PDF is built entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and your quotation data never leaves your device.
Can I reuse this for recurring clients?
Yes — none of your data is saved between visits, so simply re-enter the client details each time, or keep a copy of the generated PDF as your template.
