ToolHive

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

This is a starter privacy policy that reflects ToolHive's current data practices. It should be reviewed and customised for your specific situation — and ideally checked by a legal professional — before you rely on it for compliance purposes.

The short version

ToolHive does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. All tools run entirely in your browser. Your files and text never leave your device.

What we collect and why

Tool input and files

Everything you type, paste, or upload into a tool is processed locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers. We do not have access to your content.

Analytics

We use two cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics services to understand how the site is used in aggregate:

  • Umami Analytics — open-source, GDPR-friendly, no cookies, no fingerprinting. Collects page views and tool-completion events (e.g. "PDF downloaded"). No personal identifiers.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless beacon that measures page performance and visit counts. No cookies, no cross-site tracking.

Neither service uses cookies or stores personally identifiable information. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any tracking cookies.

Favorites and Recently Used

If you use the Favorites or Recently Used features, that preference data is stored only in your own browser via localStorage. It never leaves your device and we cannot access it.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
  • We do not require an account, email address, or any registration.
  • We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
  • We do not store your tool inputs or uploaded files on our servers.

Third-party services

ToolHive is hosted on infrastructure that may log standard server access data (IP address, request timestamps) as part of normal web-server operation. This is handled by our hosting provider and is not used for tracking or profiling.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. Any data stored in your browser's localStorage can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change materially, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
